It's not really historic as a hero gave up his life to this country, or the walk of the mayjarrrittyy to oust a dictator. But surely, 10 years from now, somebody would still look back and talk about yesterday.
The end of the Vizconde Massacre case. The acquittal of 7 out of 9 convicts. One of the most longest running case. after 15 years, this is what it all came up to...I haven't been keeping tabs, but I just remembered it transformed to a movie and claudine Kris Aquino (corrected by a mate) played the role, the rest... is historrry on my mind.lol.
After hearing both sides it makes me think, what if those convicted were really saying the truth? While the real perpetrators are still out there so free and unscathed with the cases they should be facing? What if Lauro Vizconde didn't have anybody else in mind and just stuck with it, hey it's better to have somebody blamed for your misery than none at all and hopeless, right? What happens now to those 9 people who wasted 15 years of their life behind cold prison bars as they struggled to prove their innocence? Surely, the world would never look at them the same as how they saw them when they were just regulars more than 15years ago. If basing on every reason provided for their acquittal, they should be. The proofs given by the side of the Vizconde failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt. Jessica Alfaro turns out to not be an eye witness, Hubert Webb proved that he was outside the country that time. What's there to come for?
But just earlier, Lauro Vizconde stated his side, proving those basis wrong. I didn't catch much about the stuff with Jessica Alfaro but he claims that Jessica is indeed an eye witness and the reason of the inconsistency of her statement was because at first, she wasn't complacent of her security or the NBI who supposedly was holding the case that time, eventually they gave her a new officer and that's why she gave the exact, correct and a new statement. That guards of the subdivision said Hubert Webb and his group went there, that the Webb's laundry woman said and even described how she got the blood off from Hubert's shirt (which I think, if this is true seems a stupid part. Coz if you killed someone, would you still have the gall of letting your shirt be washed by a stranger and risking your silence? Duh! Why not burn or throw it instead?). If the convicts were lying then I'll be praising Hubert Webb for that thick face and merciless gut of his what with all his TV guestings within his 24hours of freedom.
But hey! I don't know who's telling the truth or lying.
